Karbala tragedy teaches lessons of patience, sacrifice: chief minister Punjab
Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala gives the message of patience, sacrifice and steadfastness. In his message on the Youm-e-Ashur, the Chief Minister said that supreme sacrifices offered by the martyrs of Karbala for upholding truth and justice were a beacon of light for the Muslims.
He said Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions wrote a new history of courage and bravery by standing firmly against the forces of falsehood and tyranny in Karbala. He said that the sacrifices offered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions eternalised the lofty Islamic principles of peace, tolerance and morality. Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan was passing through the most critical phase of its history and facing terrorism in its worst form. He said that the enemy of Pakistan wanted to destabilise the country and there was a need to foil their nefarious designs with the force of unity. The Chief Minister said the Youm-e-Ashur also gives the message that the whole nation should gather on one platform for eradicating terrorism so that the enemies of the nation could be defeated. He said that there was a need to promote Islamic brotherhood, tolerance and national unity for elimination of terrorism.
