- Engineer Rizwan Ashraf, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) have heaved a sigh of relief over the peaceful passage of the martyrdom day of Imam Hussain. In a statement issued here today, he, particularly, thanked chief minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif who motivated religious leaders in addition to mobilizing police and civil administration to play its role by taking all concerned on board and maintaining complete peace and harmony on these sensitive days.
Commending the divisional and district administration, he said that they handled the situation intelligently despite of the tragic incident of Wahga boarder. They not only prepared a fool proof and comprehensive security plan but also implemented it with a proactive approach; he said and added that it was also encouraging that the top administration remained on tiptoe particularly on 9th and 10th Muharram along with their subordinate field staff.
Engineer Rizwan Ashraf said that due to the convincing persuasion of the police and administration, all Muharram related functions started and concluded in time that helped the law enforcing agencies to give due results in the form of complete peace and harmony. This also helped faithful Muslims and mourners to perform their rituals with complete peace of mind; he added that local communities including citizens and businessmen also fully co-operated with the government functionaries. President FCCI thanked all, for their co-operation and hoped that government will certainly acknowledge, particularly, its field staff with commendation certificate and honorarium.
