Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the excellent security measures and law and order situation in the province on Youm-e-Ashur. He said that law enforcement agencies performed their duties efficiently and diligently and due to the effective measures taken by the government, law and order situation remained satisfactory.
He said that administration and law enforcement agencies effectively implemented the security plan evolved for this purpose and their efficiency has been commendable. He said Ashura processions and Majalis in all big cities were held in congenial environment while ideal atmosphere of fraternity and integrity was witnessed among all schools of thought during ten days of Muharram. The CM further said that provincial cabinet committee on law and order also played an exemplary role for ensuring effective monitoring and foolproof security arrangements on Yaum-e-Ashur.
