Partly Facetious: The bread and butter action of Nawaz government

"So what's the latest?"
"Dar has been given the chairmanship of yet another committee."
"Which one?"
"Does it matter - he is the chair of every conceivable committee that is set up by the Prime Minister, and need I add setting up committees is the bread and butter action of this government."
"Well, if it's related to the economy..."
"No it's not and in protest I am not going to tell you which one he is to head this time around."
"Mian sahib thinks Dar can deliver - I mean the guy has been able to deal with all political parties unlike Mian sahib junior and Chaudhry Nisar and I heard that Abdul Qader Baloch had to postpone his visit to the Internally Displaced Persons camp because they had begun chanting Go Nawaz Go."
"I know what Mian sahib should do...set up a committee headed by Ishaq Dar to discuss a new slogan that will stick...how about Go Imran Go?"
"And that's new? Come on Dar can do better than that!"
"Well, our politicians are limited in devising slogans."
"You mean if you have a good thing why change it?"
"No, I mean the slogan has to be short and succinct. You can't say Imran you are not delivering in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa..."
"The PML-N attack guard is saying precisely that."
"But it's not a slogan."
"I reckon one lesson has not been learned by PML-N which is that the people vote on general performance and not specific benefits."

"Gone are the days when yellow cab owners came out in support of the PML-N because they were given the cabs....my point is the laptops and the metro is unlikely to help the PML-N in its next elections - look at Zardari sahib - those dratted beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support Programme never became jiyalas!"
"Ah yes, the vagaries of the people of this country."
