President Mamnoon Hussain urged the civil servants to do their best in ensuring corruption-free governance and serve the people of Pakistan with utmost dedication and honesty. The President emphasised that the officers should perform their duties with maximum commitment while remaining conscious of the fact that the decision and actions taken by them would impact the lives of 180 million-plus citizens of the country.
The President said this during a meeting with civil servants recently promoted to Grade-22 here at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday. "You have now reached the pinnacle of your career. With this, greater responsibilities fall on your shoulders to work for the betterment and welfare of the masses of our country," stated the President. The President said the senior civil servants should be true ideals for their juniors to emulate. "Your conduct, performance and professional capabilities should be such that the future generations of civil servants follow in your footsteps in dispensation of their official duties," he added. The President emphasised that the bureaucracy should act in unison and with commitment in achieving national goals and policies for the greater good of the people. He also felicitated the officers on their promotion to Grade-22.-PR
