Strong demand pushed the rates of commodity items higher on wholesale grain market on Thursday, dealers said. On the cereals side, Moong Punjab picked up Rs 525 to Rs 11500, Moong Afghan followed the same suit, picking up Rs 250 to Rs 12250 and wheat new Bardan gained Rs 50 to Rs 3450, other item maintained overnight levels, they added.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake low type rose by Rs 15 to Rs 1375 and the good quality was higher by Rs 30 to Rs 1400, cakes low variety inched up by Rs 10 to Rs 1320 and the best type rose by Rs 5 to Rs 1325, they added. Prices were unmoved on the grams side, they said.
