The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) is kicking off Rabi festival from November 11 to 14th. Various activities like World Space Week, International Symposium, Food Festival, Farmers Day, and Distribution of Bags-Stationary among school students of flood affected-area of Athara Hazari would be arranged.
UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan on Saturday directed the Dean Committee to ensure the foolproof arrangement in this regard. He said that a comprehensive plan had been chalked out to hold the festival is aimed at disseminating knowledge, awareness about the modern technologies entertainment to the participants.
He said that it will also provide an environment of interactive learning, knowledge and experience sharing, discussions, feedback and social interaction among all stake holders such as teachers, researchers, farmers, industrialists, entrepreneurs, students etc under one umbrella. He said that the University is used to organise the festivals twice in a year.
Giving details, he said that under the festival different programmes relating to world space week will be organised from November 11. On November 12, a three-day food exhibition will be arranged providing the opportunity to the people to entertain. International Seminar on value addition dairy production will be held on November 12 and November 13. The Kissan convention will be organised on November 14. Moreover, the quality seed of various vegetables, and wheat will be distributed among the farmers of flood affected areas including Athara Hazari and Bohana.
