WhatsApp users can now hide media content from gallery
In its latest update, popular messaging app WhatsApp is rolling out an exciting new feature of media visibility, but currently, only for Android beta users.
Most of the times social media app WhatsApp is trying to improve itself by bringing in new features be it group descriptions or group calls. This time around WhatsApp is bringing in media visibility that can let users hide received media content from gallery.
Through media visibility, the user can adjust the visibility of their media files from WhatsApp. The user has the access to hide media files from being visible in galleries other than WhatsApp. However, this feature is available for the beta Android version for now, wrote The Indian Express.
WhatsApp finally rolls out group audio calls
The option for this feature is available within ‘Contact Info’ and ‘Group Info’. Popular tipster WABetaInfo shared a screenshot that showed the feature that comes in with three options, ‘Default’, ‘Yes’ and ‘No’. For hiding the media content, users will have to select ‘Contact Info’ and then ‘No’ under the Media visibility option. Same procedure also applies for hiding media content shared in groups.
Moreover, the Facebook-owned app recently brought group video and audio calls options for beta users as well along with few other updates.
