Karachi Metropolitan Corporation's (KMC) Veterinary Services department has been allowed to charge Rs 40 as entry tax/fee per animal being brought by dairy farmers for sale to the sale point, established at the Landhi's old slaughter house. The decision has been taken following receiving complaints that sale of animals on the roads surrounding slaughter house was causing traffic jams.
The old beef slaughter house in Landhi with a boundary wall has sufficient space for setting up a point for selling animals, the sources said, adding that the KMC Administrator has approval the fee.
