In order to maintain timely departures and arrivals of PIA flights and for the convenience of passengers, PIA requests its valued passengers to reach at least 2-4 hours early at airports in Pakistan before the flight departure time. PIA valued passengers travelling on domestic and international flights are informed to reach airports in Pakistan at least four hours before the Schedule Departure Time for international flights and two hours before the Scheduled Departure Time for domestic flights due to security checks at airports.
Airports in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta are witnessing long queues starting at entry points for vehicle checking, than scanning of luggage at terminals due to which the issuance of boarding cards gets delayed and at times confirmed passengers also miss their flights.
To maintain timely departures, PIA check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure time for international flights and 30 minutes before departure time for domestic flights. Furthermore, passengers are informed that the boarding gates close 10 minutes before flight departure time.-PR
