World Diabetes Day (WDD) is celebrated every year on November 14. The World Diabetes Day campaign is led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and its member associations. It engages millions of people world-wide in diabetes advocacy and awareness. In wake of the occasion and to raise awareness of Diabetes among the public, PharmEvo, in collaboration with Pakistan Endocrine Society (PES), arranged a press conference and shed light on diabetes and its complications.
The conference was also attended by some prominent names from the healthcare sector specialising in Diabetes Management. The speakers emphasised upon the rapidly growing trend of Diabetes, affecting 382 million people world-wide, and being the cause after one death every eight seconds, making it one of the most common non-communicable global diseases and the fourth leading cause of death in the world.-PR
