The spiritual leader of Hur and Pakistan Muslim League functional (PMLF) Pir Sabghatullah Shah Rashidi said the whole of Sindh was being converted as Tharparkar and the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP) had made Sindh province as Mithi. The law and order in the home town of Sindh Chief Minister, Khairpur is so deteriorated that no local can even dare to step out of his home after sunset.
He was talking to the newsmen at Raja House Thursday after meeting with a delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by MQM Co-ordination Committee Deputy Convenor Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. The MQM delegation consisted of Senator Babar Khan Ghauri, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Faisal Sabzwari, Waseem Akhtar, and Ghazi Salahuddin. PMLF Secretary Information Kamran Tessori was also present.
Pagara said Sindh CM claimed the devastation in Tharparkar was from the divine so he should also explain whether it was the divine that had added tons of sand in wheat bags that was distributed free among the famine-hit inhabitants of Tharparkar. He said corruption have prevailed in all government departments and there is not a single department spared of corruption.The law and order in Sindh CM's home town Khairpur, Sukkur, Shikarpur and other districts is so deteriorated that the local people can not go out of their homes after the sunset. The situation of law and order is uncontrollable in that district because Sindh government speedily changed 7 SSPs in just 3 months and in case any honest Police officer wanted to curb the crime rate, he was transferred immediately to other area.
In reply to a question, Pagara said there is prescribed method in the constitution for the creation of new administrative units in provinces and hence any new administrative unit or a province can be created in accordance to the provisions of the constitution. He said Sindh government had failed to deliver and its ethical position to stay in power has already been lost.
As far as the question of Bahawalpur is concerned, it was a province in past and can be restored while 2 more provinces can also be created in Punjab. People of Punjab should first create new provinces in Punjab and then they would be eligible to talk about new provinces in Sindh. However, it would be mandatory that the demand for new province must be passed from Sindh assembly first and then the matter would be passed from national assembly and Senate.
He said his late father used to call MQM Chief as uncle and hence he also calls him Uncle and have great respect for him. While sharing the talk with newsmen, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the MQM delegation was called on Pagara to discuss about the scenario of Tharparkar and matters of mutual understating. He said the situation in Tharparkar is so dilapidated that people are dying daily and it is the responsibility of all to play a role to save their lives.
He said though Sindh CM has declared the devastation in Tharparkar an act of the divine but the criminal negligence of Sindh government has brought Tharparkar to that stage of destruction. Sindh government is doing nothing to save the people of Tharparkar and hence all the people should come forward to save them.
