On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded was PKR 3.942 billion as compared to PKR 1.492 billion reported on Wednesday, an increase of 164 percent. The number of lots traded also increased by 155 percent to 23,095 from 9,072. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,745. Major business was contributed by crude oil amounting to PKR 3.421 billion, a 256 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by gold (PKR 477 million) and silver (PKR 44 million).
