Chief minister Punjab directs police to tighten security of markets & bazaars
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the police force to tighten security of markets and bazaars and take all possible measures for maintaining law and order in the province. Presiding over a high-level meeting to review law and order situation, here on Monday he said the police should perform its duties efficiently and spare no effort for protecting life and property of citizens.
The laws regarding shops and securities be strictly implemented and the action plan evolved for this purpose should be enforced at any cost. He said monitoring system for eradication of crime should be made more effective and arrangements for protection of life and property of citizens and maintenance of law and order should be reviewed on regular basis. The chief minister directed that strict monitoring of entry and exit points of the province should be ensured and the departments concerned should work with effective co-ordination and keep an eye on suspects.
