Punjab University Institute of Education and Research (IER) is organising Pakistan's biggest three-day conference on education titled "International Conference on Research in Education (ICORE 2014)." PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran will inaugurate the conference on Tuesday.
According to the spokesperson of the PU, Director IER Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhter said that as many as 1,000 international and national educationists and students are expected to participate in the event and about 315 research papers will be presented. She said that internationally acknowledged researchers from USA, UK, China, Philippine, UAE, KSA, Germany, Malaysia, Australia, Nigeria, India, Bangladesh and Jammu and Kashmir will present research papers in the conference.
She said the conference would be a great opportunity for researchers, teacher educator, educators, practitioners, social scientists and professionals around the world for presentation of research based knowledge, experiences, new advancements, research results and innovations in the field of education. She said the event would contribute to achieve national and international educational goals and targets and it would also be an opportunity to offer policy guidelines for the policymakers.
