Terming e-log system of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) as exemplary for Saarc region countries, Prof Lamawansa, General Secretary of Saarc Surgical Society, said the Saarc countries must follow this system. Declaring the system a pride for Saarc region, Prof Lamawansa congratulated Prof Zafar Ullah Chaudhry, President CPSP for achieving this distinction. Prof. Kamal uddin, from College of Surgeons, Sri Lanka declared the system one of the best for joint research.
Prof Rakesh Verma, President of Surgical Care Society requested Prof Zafar Ullah Chaudhry to patronise the implementation of e-log system in Saarc countries. Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, DGIR, CPSP, briefed about the e-log system and said more than 10,000 trainees and two thousand supervisors are using this system. He said Canada, Ireland, Australia, Malaysia and other developed countries have already acknowledged the efficacy of e-log system on international forums. Prof Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, Prof Mahmood Ayyaz, Prof Aamer Zaman Khan, Prof Ghulam Mustafa Arain, Dr Farooq Afzal, Dr Abrar Ashraf Ali, Prof Abul Fazal Ali, Prof Naheed Sultan and Dr Abdullah Mutaqqi and other senior surgeons and professors were also present.
