National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday formally filed a reference against Amjad Qadoos, Special Officer, Inland Revenue, Masood-ur-Rehman Supervisor, and Muhammad Haroon Superintendent RTO Abbottabad for amount of Rs 23.127 million in the Accountability Court Peshawar after completion of investigation.
The accused persons on the pretext of assistance to the affectees of 2005 Earthquake prepared bogus income tax refund and abused their authority, and embezzled huge amount. It is worth mentioning here that accused persons were arrested by NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and are now in judicial custody.
