Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the elements creating hurdles in the process of national development should give up their negative attitude and pay attention towards the interest of the country. He expressed these views while talking to former Assembly Member Rana Mubashar Iqbal and other elected representatives who met him here on Wednesday, disclosed an official.
He said the enemies of progress and prosperity of the nation are only trying to promote their personal ends. According to him, the Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is determined to bring the country out of crises and is serving the masses selflessly. The elements staging sit-ins have wasted precious time of the nation and the people want to know why they got the visits of international personalities postponed. Due to postponement of the important visit of the Chinese President, power projects have been delayed.
Shahbaz said the PML-N government is successfully implementing public welfare agenda under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and due to its glorious performance and public service during the last one-and-a-half year, the politics of sit-ins has failed. "The government is striving for economic revival and it is moving in the right direction," he added.
He said by rejecting the politics of sit-ins, the 180 million people have proved that the country cannot afford chaos and anarchy and it is the time for unity. He also said due to the most successful recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to China, several agreements have been signed between the two countries for generation of electricity from coal. He said these projects will be executed with speed and transparency and their completion will result in elimination of shortage of energy.
