Universal Children's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Sialkot district on Thursday. On this occasion various social and literary organisations presented colourful programme in accordance with the day. Child and Social Development Organisation (CSDO) also organized a colourful programme at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
A large number of gipsy, brick kiln families children that never attend school as well as special and most marginalized participated the programme. These children were getting free education in seventeen schools being run by CSDO in backward and slum areas of Sialkot in collaboration with EVS department of the Punjab Education Foundation.
On this occasion children took part in various activities like speeches on the topic of Child rights and Importance of Education, Milli Naghmay etc. Member Punjab Assembly Choudary Muhammad Ikram, President CSDO Majid Raza Bhutta, Malik Naseer Ahmad Vice President SCCI, Major (R) Mansoor Ahmed General Secretary CSDO and Sheikh Abdul Majid Secretary Finance CSDO expressed their views on child rights, protection of children from all sort of abuses and neglect.
