Under the auspices of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), 10 companies representing an array of Pakistan trade sectors participating in a three-day Apparel, Textile & Footwear (ATF) Trade Exhibition in Cape Town from November 10 to 21. These companies include Sadaqat Textiles, Cotton Web, Essak home textiles, Al-Azmat textiles, K-one Sports, Gahee Enterpizes, Rajput Leather, Khalid Leather, Polani Textiles, Pristina Leather and Textiles Wear.
ATF is South Africa's only specialised sourcing show for the clothing, textile & footwear industries. The main objective of the event is to offer manufacturers, suppliers & service providers in these industries a truly effective opportunity to reinforce business with South African buyers, establish new contacts in Africa and to explore various other global trade opportunities. Cape Town is the 'Retail Head Quarter' of these industries.
ATF attracts companies from different countries across the world including competitors of Pakistan like Bangladesh, China and India. Pakistan's export to South Africa has been increasing to more than 8 percent on yearly basis for last two years. The major increase has been witnessed in textiles, leather, cement and sports sectors. Some more sectors like engineering goods, tractors, motorcycles, fruits and other food items have great un-tapped potential, as well. TDAP has also been making concerted efforts to make inroads in South Africa in line with its Africa Policy of the present government.
Trade Commission of Pakistan, Johannesburg has made all the arrangements for holding this exhibition including reservation of space, construction of stall, reception of the exhibitors, their B2B meetings, marketing of the show amongst the local business community etc.-PR
