PML-N leader Shaista Pervaiz Malik MNA has said the government has taken all possible steps for keeping new generation abreast with modern educational demands. She said the projects started by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif like laptop programme, endowment fund, foreign study tours, educational scholarships and Daanish schools have brought revolution in the educational sector in Punjab and other provinces are also following it.
She expressed these views while addressing a function held in connection with third phase of distribution of laptops at Gulberg College for Women. She said education is important for development of any society particularly acquiring education by female students is an encouraging step, that is why Chief Minister Punjab has given priority to provision of educational facilities including laptops to female students.
Referring to the merit policy of Punjab government, she said Shahbaz Sharif and his team are running government affairs in a very transparent manner due to which foreign institutions are also providing assistance to Punjab government. Shaista Pervaiz Malik distributed laptops among girl students of eight colleges including Cooper Road College, Samnabad College, Wahdat Colony College, Gulberg College, MAO College, Diyal Singh College, Wahdat Road Science College, and Railway Road College. Earlier, Principal Gulberg College welcomed MNA Shaista Pervaiz Malik and the students presented guard of honour to her. The girl students paid tributes to Punjab government for its education-friendly policies.
