President of a prominent Turkishg company ENTA, Uzi Sezer, called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Friday and expressed interest in setting up project of potable water in Punjab. The CM said that Punjab government has made comprehensive planning for the supply of drinking water to the citizens. He welcomed the co-operation of Turkish company in the project of provision of drinking water.
A pilot project of five water filtration plants will be started in Punjab with the co-operation of Turk company and it will be completed expeditiously. Punjab government will set up water filtration plants with its own resources under the pilot project. He directed the concerned authorities that pilot project should be completed within the stipulated period at any cost. President of ENTA, Uzi Sezer said his company is interested in setting up drinking water project in Punjab and one water filtration plant can fulfil the needs of 15 to 20 villages. The pilot project will be completed as early as possible. Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz, Provincial Minister for Housing Tanvir Aslam Malik, Chairperson Saaf-Pani Company Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Housing, Chief executive Officer Saaf-Pani Project, Director General LDA and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
