Fight against terrorism: Pakistan paid too heavy a price to keep world safe: COAS
Sending out a strong message to the world, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has stated the people of Pakistan were absolutely undivided in the face of terrorism. "Pakistan, which is one of the most grittiest as well as greatest nations in the world, is standing against the nemesis of terror as one man," the army chief said while addressing a ceremony here.
On the myriad losses incurred in terms of cash, kind, and life, Gen Raheel said Pakistan had paid too heavy a price to keep the world safe.
"The international community has to make sure our sacrifices do not go unsung. Thus, it is imperative for the world to admit what we have, so far, lost fighting at the forefront of this asymmetrical war," the COAS said.
The COAS urged the international community to understand and recognise the great sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
According to ISPR, he said Pakistanis are one of the greatest, bravest, and most resilient nations of the world, and they have resolutely braved the menace of terrorism.
The COAS said Pakistan has paid a huge cost in its fight against terrorism, giving sacrifices more than any other country in the world.
