Army sets up seven relief camps for Thar DAPs

Pakistan Army has established seven relief camps in Lahore and surrounding areas for collection of relief goods for drought affected Persons (DAPs) of Thar Desert. The Army relief camps have been established at Fortress Stadium, Gaddafi Stadium, Ayub Stadium, Walton Road and DHA Lahore Sheikhupura.
Donations in cash can be deposited in Askari Bank GHQ Branch account No 0028-010021825-5 and Lahore Corps Thar Relief Fund account No 011165052222 Askari Bank Tufail Road Lahore Cantt Branch. Distribution of all donations in terms of cash and kind will be ensured/facilitated through these Army Relief Camps. Lahore Garrison has already dispatched 68 tons of food items for drought affected of Thar. Pakistan Army geared up its relief efforts for famine-stricken people of Thar on humanitarian grounds from 28 October. So far, more than 30 relief/medical camps have been established by Pak Army in worst hit areas like Dali, Chachro, Islam Kot, Diplo and sparsely placed areas of Nagarparkar.
