Professor Aqeel's death condoled: Shahbaz welcomes reduction in electricity price

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has welcomed the announcement of the federal government regarding reduction in power tariff and said that after substantial decrease in the prices of petroleum products, reduction in the price of electricity is a gift for the masses.
The CM said the decision of Pakistan Muslim League-N government to reduce the price of electricity would provide relief to the masses, adding PML-N government would continue to take measures for the welfare and betterment of the people. He said Pakistan would continue to make progress and the elements involved in sit-ins would not be able to hamper this process. He said those involved in politics of protest and anarchy should know that no hurdle would be tolerated in the process of service to 18 crore people of the country.
Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of Professor Ahmed Aqeel Ruby, a prominent poet and intellectual. In a condolence message, the CM said the services of late Professor Ahmed Aqeel Ruby in the field of literature would be remembered for a long time. He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
