The third round of political consultations between Pakistan and Latvia was held in Riga at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. A Memorandum of Understanding on holding annual bilateral consultations between the two countries was signed on the occasion. The signing took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riga. Pakistan's Ambassador to Latvia, Khalid Memon and Latvian State Secretary, Andreas Pildegovics signed the MoU.
Pakistan side was led by Nadeem Riyaz, Additional Secretary (Europe), whereas the Latvian delegation was headed by Under Secretary of State, Eduards Stiprais, says a press release issued here on Tuesday. The two sides reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral relations and explored possibilities of extending co-operation in political, economic, education and culture. There was also exchange of views on global and regional issues. It was agreed that the next round of political consultations would be held in Islamabad on mutually convenient dates in 2015.-PR
