Business community has expressed serious concern over substantial decreases in exports in the last four months. They said that energy crisis and political unrest hit business activities in the country hard, resulting in decline in country's exports. President All Karachi Industrial Alliance Mian Zahid Hussain has expressed concerns over decrease in exports of the country.
He said that export activities were badly affected due to energy crises in the country. He said that it was imperative to take steps to provide uninterrupted electricity and gas supply to Punjab industrial for boosting exports. President Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui said that statistic issued by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics showed decrease in exports, which is alarming. He said that foreign buyers postponed their meetings with their Pakistan counterparts due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf scheduled protest on November 30.
