Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday arrived in Karachi and held a meeting with leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). The two sides discussed possibilities of political co-operation in the current scenario. The meeting between Rashid and MQM is being given an importance in the wake of PTI's November 30 rally in Islamabad. Rashid told reporters after his meeting at MQM headquarters, Nine Zero, that he enjoyed longstanding relations with the party chief Altaf Hussain.
"It's my desire that all opposition parties join hands in the future," he said. MQM's Babar Ghori said his party's doors were open for all despite political differences. "We are also in the favour of transparent elections and electoral reforms in the country," he said.
