Vice Chancellor of Sindh University Professor Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili and Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto have expressed deep sense of sorrow over the death of veteran educationalist and former syndicate member of SU Aapa Mariyam Noohani. In their separate messages, the vice chancellors said Aapa Noohani's death had caused an irreparable loss to the national interest and girls' education in Sindh and the gap created could not be fulfilled.
SU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili said Aapa Mariyam was a torch-bearer of ideology of female education and she devoted all his educational life to protect the rights of women education in the province. He has directed organising a condolence reference to pay a tribute to Aapa Mariyam Noohani. On the other hand, Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto on behalf of officers, faculty members and employees also offered his deep condolences on the sad demise of Aapa Mariyam. He said her death had created a void which could never be filled.
