Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan telephoned Sindh Chief minister Sayed Qaim Ali Shah after taking serious notice of the news regarding the recovery of 26 minor girls belonging to Bajaur Agency from a house in Liaqatabad, Karachi.
He talked to chief minister Sindh to probe into the matter and stressed upon safe and early return of those girls to their homes. Governor directed the additional chief secretary FATA to conduct a high level inquiry to probe into the matter and take stern action against those responsible. He said that these innocent and minor girls are like his daughters and directed the officials concerned that girls should not be delivered to irresponsible institutions and asked to take every possible step to ensure the safe handing over of the children to their parents. He also directed the concerned authorities to investigate the existence of these girls that how they arrived in Karachi.
