Rates moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai low type was down by Rs 25 to Rs 2475 while the best variety was unchanged at Rs 2600, Moong Punjab was sharply higher by Rs 250 to Rs 12125, Masoor Canada was lower by Rs 1500 to Rs 10000 and Masoor Dal Canada also lost Rs 100 to Rs 11300, they said.
On the grams side, Bajra was unchanged at Rs 2700 while the best quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 4200, other types held the overnight levels in the process of trading, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was lower by Rs 20 to Rs 3080 and the best quality was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 3100, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh shed Rs 25 to Rs 1475 and Rs 1525, other items did not move any side, they said. Prices were inert on the grams side, they said.
