Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Nadeem Ashraf has said that work of land computerisation is being carried out on war footing throughout the province. "Mechanism of co-ordination is our top priority so that land record and property of every Pakistani should remain in safe hands and land mafia could be eliminated. No laxity or negligence on the part of Revenue officers and officials will be tolerated," he said, while addressing a meeting for reviewing the performance of all districts regarding land computerisation, here on Wednesday.
Concerned DCOs, Revenue officers and Managing Director Land Computerisation Irfan Elahi were present in the meeting. Senior Member Board of Revenue took notice of the laxity in the process of land computerisation in some districts and directed DCOs concerned to take strict action against those Revenue officers showing negligence. He stated that 100 percent land computerisation has been completed in Hafizabad, Lodhran and Kasur whereas he took notice of laxity in land computerisation in Gujrat, Multan and Rawalpindi and directed that strict action should be taken against the persons responsible.
Nadeem Ashraf said that over 99 percent land computerisation work has been completed in Muzaffargarh and Okara, Sheikhupura and Layyah, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Attock, in Rahim Yar Khan, in Bahawalpur and Sargodha Narowal, Lahore, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala and in Sialkot. He directed all Revenue officers to complete the remaining work in a record time.
