Police on Wednesday impounded several hundred kilograms of donkey meat which was to be sold to consumers here. According to reports, a police team raided a place where several donkeys, the meat of which is Haram for eating in Islam, were being slaughtered. Following the raid culprits fled the area but the police managed to impound up to 20 maunds (around 800 kgs) of donkey meat.
