Deputy Inspector General of National Highway and Motorway Police Bashir Ahmad Memon has said that honesty and courtesy are the basic traits that made this department symbol of pride for the nation. "The good name of the department is matter of pride and distinction for whole nation and we will further polish and strengthen these traits."
He was speaking at the affixing of promotional badges ceremony of nine newly promoted patrolling officers at Zonal Office, Lahore here on Wednesday. The sector commander SSP Muhammed Inksar Khan was also present on the occasion. DIG Bashir Ahmad Memon lauded the performance and congratulated the newly promoted officers.
He advised them to work with dedication for the goodwill of the department. Honesty is our belief and courtesy and rendering help to road users is our recognition these core values should be continue with every cost, he added. He made it clear to the newly promoted officer that the promotion was not a matter of pride only but of responsibility as well. He added that, He hoped the officers who were promoted would show great sense of responsibility while performing their future tasks and assignments. Later, DIG also pinned down the promotion badges among the newly promoted officers.
