Expressing grave concern and condemning wave of the extra judicial killing of Sindhi youth in Sindh, Dr Qadir Magsi, chairman Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party has demanded setting up of judicial commission to probe into kidnapping and assassination of Sindhi youth.
Addressing a news conference at Hyderabad Press Club on Wednesday, Dr Magsi termed the extra judicial killing worse than barbarism, adding that deprivations and injustices with small provinces are increasing with the passage of time. He further said extra judicial killings are a cause of great concern for the people of Sindh who believed in peace and tranquillity.
The murder of Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro also created sense of insecurity among the people of the province, he added. He said it is the duty of Sindh government to conduct investigation into the matter and form a judicial commission for the purpose. If Sindh government avoided taking notice, Dr Magsi said, then he will request the Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a commission for investigation of the murders of these youth.
Dr Magsi on the occasion also announced to observe token hunger strikes from December 9 to 11, at all district headquarters against the killings of the youth of the province and also advised the relatives of the deceased persons to pursue the legal course. The Chief of Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party has called upon the leaders of Sindh Nationalists Parties to train youth with ideology instead of giving weapons in their hands as the solution of the issue of the province based in ideology instead of guerilla war. He said that though nationalists' movements in Sindh are old, but now these forces should adopt democratic way for getting their rights. Sindh Taraqi Pasad Party has no link with any movement of Sindhu Desh as the party believed to struggle for the rights of Sindh within Pakistan, he maintained.
