Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhary has said that even after the resumption of talks with the government, the party will not call off 'close down' protests in Karachi, Lahore and later countrywide. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference here on Thursday. He said the party would continue with the protests with full zeal and they would deal with the police high-handiness and the political opponents.
"Our workers were brutalised in Gujranwala, Jhelum, Islamabad and Faisalabad, and in this connection nominated FIRs were registered in the police stations concerned. We demand that the government should arrest the culprits and try them in terrorist courts," he added.
To a question, he said they have prepared a compressive plan for the Lahore protest on December 15; the entire city will be closed down. "Traders, labour, educational and clerk organisations have assured their full support to the PTI protest in Lahore and we also appeal to the people of Lahore to shutdown the city," he added. Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, senior PTI leaders, said they have identified the Faisalabad killers and their photos have been released to the media. He alleged that PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah's men were involved in the murder of a PTI worker in Faisalabad. He demanded that the police immediately arrest the culprits and expose the truth behind the killing.
