Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional Chairman SM Naseer has urged the government to set up industrial colonies on the pattern of Japan so that factories in every district could play their role in the country's development.
While speaking at a function held in connection with promotion of cottage industry here Friday, he also emphasised the government to extend special incentives to small traders and industrialists. Vice President Lahore Chamber of Commerce Kashif Anwar also spoke on the occasion. He said that cottage industry is considered as an engine of growth in all over the world, thus the government should also use it to put the country on the path of economic growth.
The exports of Vietnam that has 90 million population stands at US 150 billion dollars against Pakistan whose exports could not cross US 25 billion dollars, he said and added the nation should stand united to get rid of problems and meet the export targets.
