A full bench of the Lahore High Court here on Friday directed the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to chalk out security plan for the city during the shutdown call of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf. The court adjourned till December 15 the proceedings of a petition filed by a PTI traders' leader Naeem Mir demanding security measures for the protection of Lahorites on shutdown protest.
The bench observed that police and all other law enforcement agencies would have to maintain their writ to ensure law and order in the society. CCPO Amin Wainse told to the court that 90 percent representation of the traders in city had been taken into confidence about the security plan for the protest day. He said remaining including the petitioner would be consulted too in a day before finalising the plan.
