The University of Sindh (SU) has promoted 88 officials, including teaching staff and non-teaching staff from Grade 17 to Grade 20. According to a SU statement released here on Friday, the orders of promotion were distributed among officials by the Vice Chancellor at a ceremony held here on Friday. The statement said that officials were promoted after formal approval by the SU Syndicate on the recommendations of the University's selection board.
Three officials, Ghulam Murtaza Sial, Sajid Qayyum Memon and Muhammad Mashooq Siddiqui were promoted to Grade 20 from Grade 19, it said. In the same way, four officials, Razia Tariq Abro, Ghulam Nabi Kaka, Hussain Bux Mangi and Abdul Majeed Panhwar were promoted to Grade 19 from Grade 18. Similarly, four Su officials have been promoted to Grade 18 from Grade 17, it said, adding, of total, 11 officials, 45 teachers and 32 other technical staff were promoted.
On the occasion, SU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili said that there was some kind of shortcomings among faculty members which needed to be removed. Besides, there is a need of an improvement in teaching, he said, adding the young teachers have to play their effective role in this regards.
