Threema, a messenger programme that allows complete encryption for transmitting text messages, photos, videos, voice messages and group chats is now available for Windows Phone 8. Already available on Android and iOS for a while, it allows near complete anonymous communications. Messages sent are even deleted from the company's servers.
Encryption is becoming common among messenger services. Even Whatsapp, a giant in the field, recently announced it would start using end-to-end encryption from TextSecure. But, so far, only users of the newest Android machines can take Whatsapp up on that offer, and only for messages directly between parties.
