The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Punjab approved four development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 1620.171 million. These schemes were approved in the 28th PDWP meeting of current fiscal year 2014-15, presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included: provision of rural poultry breeds through augmenting R&D at the cost of Rs 65.751 million, establishment of model veterinary hospital at one Tehsil of each Division in Punjab at the cost of Rs 450 million, sustainable Social Economic and Environmental Revitalisation in the historic core of Multan City at cost of Rs 251.03 million, rehabilitation / concrete lining of Sharqpur Disty System (Sharqpur Disty, Jodkhke Minor, Tashpur Sub Minor & Mundi Sub Minor), District Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs 853.39 million.
