A meeting of Hamdard Naunehal Assembly Karachi chapter was held on Wednesday on the theme: "Let us love Quaid-i-Azam", comprised speeches, poetic tribute, tableau and due-i-Said at a local hotel. The meeting in a unanimous resolution condemned the brutal attack on Army Public School, Peshawar and expressed its deep sorrow over this heart broken incidence.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan said that it was the foremost duty of all Pakistanis to make Pakistan according to the wish and ideas of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of the country and the only leader who could turn the dream of Pakistan into a reality.
'We are living in an independent and sovereign country because of the insight, struggle and sacrifices, made by Quaid-i-Azam, Sir Syed, Muhammed Ali Johar, Allama Iqbal and Liaquat Ali Khan', she said, adding: 'We should fellow the teachings of our national leaders and shun provincialism, narrow mindedness and hatred, in which we are indulging at the moment and became a disputative crowd instead of a combined nation and to get rid of this damaging situation we must follow the golden principle of Quaid-"Faith, discipline and unity". That was the only way to express commitment and love for Quaid-i-Azam, she asserted.
The chief guest and President, International Foundation for Mother and Child Health, Shuja'at Ali Qarni while addressing the meeting said that Quaid-i-Azam had faced great difficulties during the Pakistan movement even then he succeeded to overcome these troubles and made Pakistan which no doubt was a miracle. It was our obligation to become a combined nation according to Quaid's thinking leaving behind all differences, based on our vested interests. Thinking process was the only way for the progress of an individual and a nation, he added.
Commending the speeches of the child speakers, he said their standard was not less than the speeches, delivered in National Assembly as he was an eye witness of those speeches, because he would go to National Assembly during his stay at Islamabad, being a government official.
He advised the children to think more and more and if they started to think and meditate they would get success like great scientist, Newton who meditated deeply on the fall of an apple from the tree and discovered gravity of earth which had opened the doors of many inventions.-PR
