The Business community of Southern Punjab on Saturday hailed the Government decision of execution of terrorists and welcomed on the lifting of a moratorium on executions of terrorists on death row. President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) Mian Iqbal Hassan said that it was a good decision of hanging the terrorists because it would help in minimising the terrorist activities in the country.
He condemned the Peshawar school carnage that claimed 145 lives, including those of 133 children.
He described the acts of terrorism committed against children and staff members at the Army Public School as unprecedented. Chamber Chief expressed full support for the military's Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan and other tribal agencies.
He lauded the government and the army for deciding that action would continue till the elimination of all terrorists from the country.
He demanded that terrorists on death row should be executed immediately, saying that Islam had not empowered anybody to suspend executions.
He said the Peshawar carnage had united the entire nation. He added that terrorists were murdering innocent children to achieve their nefarious targets. "The people will hold accountable anybody who creates confusion," he said.
