On the instruction of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a delegation comprising Members Provincial Assembly Kh Imran Nazir, Engr Qamar-uz-Zaman Raja, Member Planning and Development Agha Waqar and other officers visited Korean capital Seoul and participated in investment conference.
Representatives of 13 Korean companies attended the conference. The delegation discussed prospects of co-operation between Punjab and Korea. During meeting with representatives of Korean companies, prospects of co-operation in various sectors between Punjab and Korea were discussed.
The Korean companies expressed interest in development projects including construction of elevated expressway from Ravi Bridge to Imamia Colony, generation of electricity, health and other sectors. Kh Imran Nazir while talking to Korean investors said that conducive environment and other facilities will be provided to investors in Punjab. He said that transparency, quality and speed have been ensured in development projects in the province. He said that transparent policy of investment in Punjab has also been appreciated abroad. He said that engineers are amazed at the completion of an important bridge in 65 days and Metro Bus Lahore in eleven months. Kh. Imran Nazir also invited Korean investors to invest in Punjab. The Korean investors appreciated speedy development of Punjab and vision of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. They said that they would feel pleasure by working in development projects of Punjab with Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and would visit to Punjab in the second week of January. The 6-member delegation also included Chief Policy Support Officer Zahid Ali, Assistant Chief Policy Officer Muhammad Nawaz and legal advisor Malik Usman.
