Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has congratulated the Christian community of the country for celebrations of Christmas. In his felicitation message, he said that "on December 25, the Christian community of our beloved motherland is observing the Christmas. At this occasion I extend my greetings to the Christian community of the country especially those hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA on this auspicious occasion.
This time the pleasures of the day are over-shadowed by the tragic incident of terrorism that occurred on 16th December, 2014 wherein our children have been targeted. We as a nation realise the great sacrifices which every segment of our society has been rendering for ensuring well-being of our beloved country.
I take this opportunity to appeal to the Christian community of our country to use this auspicious occasion for refreshing their staunch commitment of leaving no stone unturned in making stability of the country unshakable; continue their sincere and devoted services for collective well-being of the nation and continue their support and co-operation for future progress and development of the country. I wish all the best to every citizen."
