The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Saturday approved a request of K-Electric to reduce power tariff by Rs 1.64 per unit for its consumers. Nepra has approved the request of K-Electric Company to reduce power tariff by Rs 1.64/unit under the fuel adjustment of November. According to the officials, the overall fuel cost over the power production has been reduced to Rs 2 billion which would be helpful for the consumers. Moreover, Nepra would conduct a formal hearing over the request of K-Electric on January 6.
