Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) President and former Prime Minister Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that when he was interior minister, a report regarding all Madaressah within Pakistan was compiled within one month, according to which there was no Madressah imparting training to children for terrorism.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Shujaat said "we had launched a scheme for imparting education in a Madressah (religious education institution), according to which along with Quran and religious education the children were also to be equipped with education in modern computer so that children studying in Madaris could also acquire formal education besides Islamic teachings as such children studying religious education should not be disturbed." "Student means one who seeks education, anyone indulging in terrorism cannot be a student," he added. The PML-Q Chief said calling students of the Madressah as terrorists or dubbing them as promoters of terrorism was not right.
