Transporters seek across the board cut in fares

The Karachi Transport Action Committee (KTAC) on Sunday called upon the authorities concerned to ensure across the board reduction in transport fares.
Announcing to comply with the government directive to slash bus and coach fares, following frequent reduction in recent past, in the cost of petroleum goods, President of the committee, Muhammad Ashraf Banglori and other office-bearers, including Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain and Tanzim Khan in a statement took exception to the reluctance expressed by rickshaw and taxi associations to reduce their service charges.
