A key commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was detained by security forces in Wazir Dand area of Khyber Agency on Sunday. According to official sources, the security forces and Khasadar force on a tip-off raided a suspected house in Wazir Dand and arrested an important commander of TTP's Mina Jan faction. He was identified as Tahir and was shifted to an undisclosed location for investigation, the sources added.
Meanwhile, huge cache of hashish was recovered in a raid conducted by security forces in Jaba, Khyber Agency, sources said.
Six persons identified as Sajid, Itbar, Niaz Wali, Aziz Khan, Saidbad Shah and Bashiruddin were arrested and shifted to cantonment for further interrogation.
