United States Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson called on the Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Monday. The Ambassador expressed his condolences for the precious loss of innocent lives during the tragic incident of Army Public School, Peshawar. He pledged that the international community will keep on extending its support for Pakistan's fight against extremism.
The Minister appreciated the Ambassador's sentiments and viewed that this was a monumental tragedy. One of its upshot is that, an across the board consensus has been developed between all political parties and the people of Pakistan, to deal with the menace of extremism, with extraordinary steps, the minister added. With this kind of unprecedented popular support, the government will take the fight to its logical end.
